Gadys BASE system - RNS510 style

 

The VNS-VW is a feature packed OEM-style head unit designed specifically to fit Volkswagen vehicles produced between 2004-2014, including the New Polo / New Sharan / Golf MK5 Hatch & Estate / Golf MK6 / Golf Plus / Scirocco / Touran / Tiguan upto 2014 /New Passat Saloon & Estate upto 2014 / New Jetta / Caddy 2004 - 2015 and basically any model that has the fittings for a RCD300 series, RCD500 series, RCD210, RNS 510 or MFD2/MFD3. (Not suitable for convertible vehicles)

Installation of the GNS-VW is plug-and-play and the system will fit seamlessly into your car and blend in with your dashboard as if the unit had been fitted at the factory.

With Canbus - so you can control unit with your steering control and dash display

Installation guide

A: Our systems do not drain your car battery, because its wired correctly - Just plug and play no wires to chop or to add

Very easy to install any competent diy person can fit the unit, most Vw cars have front facia surround that just clips of on the dash

How to remove your old unit

Step 1: Unclip dash radio facia surround

Step 2: Unscrew 4 torq screws on your old system then you unit pops out

Step 3: Unplug big black main iso plug at the back of unit

Step 4: Unplug white antenna radio connector

How to install new unit – reversal same as above just the extra gps antenna you connect and have it placed anywhere inside on top area of dash.

No coding required no canbus programming or extra wiring required it’s all built in.

That’s it, plug and play...There are YouTube videos on this just search you car make-model for radio removal

If you not sure then we would advice to have it installed by a qualified audio electrician

These are not genuine VW systems, they are after market same OEM style that has more features than the standard models

How to remove your old unit

Step 1: Unclip dash radio facia surround

How to install new unit 

The steps to install the unit are the same for removing it but in reverse, but with one exception, the extra GPS antenna that is provided wil need to be connected and placed anywhere inside the top area of dash.

Step 1. Plug the white antenna radio connector

Step 2. Plug the extra GPS antenna and place it anywhere inside on the top area of dash

Step 3. Plug the big black main iso plug at the back of unit

Step 4. Screw the unit in

Step 5. Clip dash radio facia surround

Important notes on DAB, CANBUS and VW T5.1

DAB coverage

It is highly recommended that you research DAB coverage within your area before purchasing. In certain places coverage is weak and so the DAB feature will not function.

CANBUS

CANBUS features only work if you have canbus system in your car ie: Steering wheel with button control and info display on dash or on audio system). If you are unsure whether you car has a CANBUS system please contact us

VW T5.1

The FM Radio antenna In a Volkswagen T5.1 is located behind the wing mirror covers. due to this the radio FM reception will be poor. All other features are unaffected.
